The Skyshield system is a short range air defence system designed to be modular and light-weight. It consists of two 35mm cannons - each capable of firing 1000 rounds per minute - a fire control system made up of a sensor unit and a detached command post. According to SIPRI data, Indonesia imported six Skyshield systems in 2012 at a cost of approximately $202m, and an additional two systems in 2014, and another two in 2018.
